What we do
Spire Skylights installs and replaces roof lanterns, flat roof rooflights, roof windows including VELUX, electric and opening rooflights, walk-on and conservation rooflights, and sun tunnels. We work on houses first, and we are glad to take on small commercial jobs and work for builders who need a rooflight fitted properly.
Why the room matters to us
A rooflight is usually judged from the roof: is it level, is it sealed, does it keep the rain out. Those things matter, and we take care over every one of them. But the person who paid for it stands in the room below, and what they see is the opening.
So the reveal is in our quote from the start. Where the roof depth allows, we splay the opening so the same glass lights more of the room. Then we plaster it, make good the ceiling around it and leave the room ready for paint. See how we finish a reveal.
How we work
- Measured twice. We measure the roof and the room on the same visit, so the quote is fixed and the unit is ordered once.
- Paperwork handled. We check planning and conservation rules before we quote and handle the Building Control notification where the work needs it.
- Guaranteed in writing. Every installation carries our 10-year workmanship guarantee.
- Tidy by habit. Dust sheets down, the opening protected overnight, and the rubbish taken away with us.
